Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao paid a courtesy call on Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso Monday morning.The Manila mayor also introduced city hall officials and employees, including Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna to “Pacman”.
After the meeting, Pacquiao joined Moreno in the weekly flag-raising ceremony at the Andres Bonifacio Shrine. “Pasalamat kayo may masipag na mayor kayo dito sa Maynila at mayor [Isko] ipagpatuloy mo lang ang ginagawa mo, malayo pa ang mararating mo baka di lang dito sa Maynila ang pag seserbisyuhan mo,” Pacquiao said in the ceremony.“Tulad ng aking mga kapwa Batang Maynila, si Pacman ay galing sa hirap at nagsumikap sa maraming aspeto ng buhay, mapa-pulitikal man o sa larangan ng boksing,” Moreno said in a statement.
“Hindi mapapantayan ang ipinamalas na husay at galing ni Pacman na marami nang beses na kinilala sa iba’t ibang dako ng mundo,” he added.
