A total of P308.125 million worth of fake Louis Vuitton (LV) merchandise was confiscated by the Philippine National Police (PNP) at the 168 Shopping Mall in Binondo, Manila Thursday.

Fake Louis Vuitton merchandise worth P308.125 million were confiscated by the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group’s Anti-Fraud and Commercial Crimes Unit at the 168 Shopping Mall in Binondo, Manila on Thursday, July 25, 2019.

The suspects were identified as Irene Castro, 28; Rose Ongonion, 24; Naima Malic, 26; Raihanah Bato, 18; Emalyn Estela, 34; Lorelyn Sarana, 22; Riza May Masiglat, 19; Mylen Agustin, 27; Carol Sanchez, 48; and Christopher Umali, 25. Police Lieutenant Colonel Bayani Zaralan, who led the operation dubbed as “Oplan Megashopper,” said the cops seized a total of 911 bags; 1,291 wallets; 48 belts; four caps; two cardholders; 48 keyholders, 38 paper bags; and four boxes which bore the LV trademark and deemed as counterfeit products.
