Construction of the P23-billion Samal Island–Davao City Connector bridge is now 40-percent finished and expected to be completed and operational by 2027, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways .
It connects the R. Castillo–Daang Maharlika Junction in Davao City to the Samal Circumferential Road, with landing points located in Barangay Vicente Hizon Sr., Davao City, and Barangay Limao, Samal Island.
