BACOLOD CITY – A man previously convicted for a drug offense was arrested again in a buy-bust operation in which 153 grams of of suspected shabu worth P1,040,400 was seized in Barangay Vista Alegre here on Saturday, August 19.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit identified the suspect as Alfredo Aplasca Jr., 57, of Barangay Vista Alegre.Police Capt. Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said the suspect was previously arrested for the same offense and was released from the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City last year after he had served his sentence.
Mogato said that Aplasca’s name came out after the apprehension of Michael Frias who yielded shabu worth P14.3 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Vista Alegre on August 10. He said the houses of the two suspects are near each other but they are not yet sure if Aplasca’s illegal drugs were sourced out from Frias.related stories
