The COA recommended for the BBS management to require its officials to submit 'sufficient and relevant documents' that would support the P1.83 million reimbursement in order to 'avoid being disallowed in audit.' READ:
State auditors found that P1.83 million worth of meals reimbursed in 2019 by the Bureau of Broadcast Services , an agency under the Presidential Communications Operations Office, lacked complete documentation.
Liquidation of the BBS' meals from January to December 2019 ranged from P71,343.50 to P342,890 each time. But COA pointed out that"verification made on the DV revealed that only certifications and receipts for meals were attached to support the P1,830,720.52, thus, propriety and authenticity of the claim is doubtful."
