Phase II and Friends members Pat King, left, Gerry Hickey, Keila Glydon, John Mc Garry, Jeanie Campbell, Ed Young and Blaine Murphy are preparing for two love-themed shows. ContributedCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Phase II And Friends will return to the stage for two love-themed performances this weekend.

The first show, A Rock n' Roll Valentine, at The Guild, has been fully booked for two weeks. However, the group has announced another show on Sunday evening at Saint John's United Church in Mount Stewart called Love Is In The Air. The Sunday show marks the groups' return to the Saint John's United Church following the height of the pandemic.

Gerry Hickey, the spokesperson for Phase II And Friends, said the church offers a warm and cozy atmosphere, and the sound is ideal for live music.Sunday's show will be a special one, with the band performing a new rendition of the Teddy Bears' classic To Know Him Is To Love Him for the first time, which was remade by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmy Lou Harris.

The show will take place at Saint John's United Church, located in the centre of Mount Stewart. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the performance starting at 7 p.m.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
