OWWA distributes P8.58-M aid to distressed OFWs in Davao region

A total of 498 distressed overseas Filipino workers in Davao region have benefited from the disbursement of livelihood grants under the “Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay!” Program , the Overseas Workers

Welfare Administration reported on Friday, Sept. 23.

Of this number, 257 bebeficiaries came from Davao City; 48 from Davao de Oro; 76 from Davao del Norte; 61 from Davao del Sur; 53 from Davao Oriental; and three from Davao Occidental. Ignacio also awarded nine beneficiaries of the Livelihood Development Assistance Program and BPBH program under the National Reintegration Center for OFWs .

The BPBH program of OWWA is a package of livelihood assistance to provide immediate relief to all returning OFWs who are distressed or displaced from their host countries.
