A man in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur 'bought' his own bicycle to arrest the man who stole it. The 21-year-old suspect who was arrested during an entrapment operation stole the bicycle when the owner left it briefly on the side of the road. The owner reportedly was not worried because of the presence of a CCTV camera in the area. "Kasi kampante yung papa ko na may CCTV doon at walang kukuha, kaya iniwan ng papa ko dun ng walang lock," the owner's son said.
He then coordinated with the police and agreed to pose as the buyer to entrap the suspect."Pumunta ako sa meeting place nung mismong usapan ng tita ko at seller kinonfirm ko kung yun yung bike ng papa ko," the owner's son said.The suspect was arrested as he received the supposed payment.The suspect claimed that the bicycle was sold to him, which the police refuted, citing clear evidence from a CCTV footage.
