Vice President Leni Robredo has declared big savings from her office’s fund drive to support health workers in the fight against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Of the P60.97 million cash donations, Robredo said they can now distribute 321,488 personal protective equipment for frontliners instead of the original target of 130,000 PPE sets.
The amount is composed of funds from Robredo’s office and the donation drive conducted by Kaya Natin! Movement, an Angat Buhay partner. “Iyong target pala namin na 9,000 frontliners ang maseserbisyuhan, ngayon ang mabibigyan namin ay 21,432 ,” Robredo said.
