Kinumpirma ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) ngayong Huwebes na bumiyahe si Vice President Sara Duterte at kaniyang pamilya nitong Miyerkules na nasabay sa hagupit ng Habagat at bagyong Carina na nagpalubog sa baha sa maraming lugar sa Metro Manila.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ng OVP, nakasaad na"unfortunate" na nagkataon at nasabay ang biyahe sa pananalasa ng bagyo at habagat.
"The timing of the trip coinciding with Typhoon Carina is unfortunate. Nonetheless, the Disaster Operations Center of the OVP, institutionalized by the Vice President, is always ready to assist families affected by calamities," sabi pa ng OVP. Ayon sa OVP, nitong Miyerkules ay may nakaposisyon na umano na mga ipapamahagi sa tinatayang paunang 6,700 pamilya.
