Authorities apprehended a Zambian woman claiming to be a student in the Philippines at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after discovering over P60 million worth of suspected shabu in a false compartment of her bag. The suspect was flagged as a 'hot flight' from Addis Ababa Airport in Ethiopia, indicating a high possibility of drug trafficking. Police Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano, Director of the PNP-AVSEGROUP, stated that the drugs were found through a combination of careful inspection and the assistance of K9 units. The suspect's passport showed her first entry into the Philippines.

Chineck ng ating K9, so nag-positive for drugs. So in-open 'yung luggage in the presence ng ating Drug Interdiction Task Group natin. Nung na-find out na drugs, it was tested,” sabi ni Police Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano, Director ng PNP-AVSEGROUP.
