A total of 7,120 infants received their immunization shots in various barangay health centers in Pasig City during the two-week rollout of the “Vax-Baby-Vax” drive from Nov. 7 to Nov. 18.
The Metro Manila Center for Health Development launched the Routine Catch-up Immunization or “Vax-Baby-Vax” program on Nov. 7 to encourage parents to have their kids vaccinated against diseases, especially those that commonly affect newborn babies.
According to data from the Pasig City Health Department , 4,144 of the vaccinated were zero to 12 month old babies, while 2,976 were 13 to 23 months old. Despite not fully reaching its exact desired outcome, the “Vax-Baby-Vax” program was well-received by Pasig citizens.Out of the 2,992, 2,444were babies aged zero to 12-months old, and 548 were 13 to 23-months old.
