The Department of Health (DOH) said that more than 592,000 health workers in the country have yet to receive their second booster shot of the Covid-19 vaccine.

The Department of Health said that more than 592,000 health workers in the country have yet to receive their second booster shot of the Covid-19 vaccine.“Out of the 1,196,107 eligible A1 population, 592,202 are currently due for second booster doses,” the DOH said.Currently, the second booster shot is only available for health workers, individuals aged 50 and above, and those 18 to 49 years old with comorbidities.
As of Dec. 12, the DOH has already provided second booster doses to a total of 3,691,412 eligible individuals.“The review process is always ongoing and when new evidence comes in we can then assess and recommend second boosters for the general population while going through the proper regulatory process,” the DOH said.
