More than 4,000 minors between 12 and 17 years old have registered for the pediatric vaccination program of the government of Subic, Zambales against COVID-19, an official said.

In a radio interview, Dr. Nadjimin Ngilay, Subic health officer, said 30 to 40 percent of these children have comorbidities, and would be prioritized for inoculation of their age group this month.Several local governments outside Metro Manila began the COVID-19 vaccination of eligible children using Pfizer and Moderna vaccines last week.

Ngilay said once the local government received the go-signal to inoculate the minors, they would target at least 1,000 daily in anticipation of more children who would register for the program in the coming days.
