MORE than 2,000 new coronavirus disease cases, along with over 50 new deaths and 1,000 more recoveries, have been reported by the Department of Health Saturday, September 5.
The DOH, in its latest case bulletin, said 2,529 new Covid-19 cases were confirmed Saturday out of the total tests done by 92 of the country's 113 laboratories.Majority of the new cases came from the National Capital Region with 1,171.The DOH also said that 53 more Covid-19 patients have died, raising the death toll to 3,790.
Despite the rising number of mortalities, the DOH noted that 1,136 more patients have recovered from the disease.Globally, the novel coronavirus has infected 26,171,112 people. Of the total, 865,154 people have succumbed to the disease, said the World Health Organization.
