The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) will deploy over 14,000 security personnel, including 12,168 police officers and 2,306 personnel from partner agencies, to ensure peace and order during the Feast of the Black Nazarene events. The Traslacion procession, the highlight of the event, will take place on January 9th.
OVER 14,000 security personnel will be fielded for the maintenance of peace and order during the events related to the Feast of the Black Nazarene.In a statement Thursday, January 2, 2025, National Capital Region Police Office acting Director Brigadier General Anthony Aberin said a total of 12,168 police personnel will be deployed for area and route security. He said 2,306 personnel from partner agencies, including the local government unit, will augment the police deployment.
“This strategy with minor modifications will be adopted as NCRPO will secure the Kapistahan ng Nazareno in a few days’ time,” he added. The highlight of the annual religious event will be the Traslacion or the procession of the image of the Black Nazarene on January 9.
