Over 10 million Philippine Identification (PhilID) cards have been delivered nationwide, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Wednesday.

PSA Undersecretary Dennis Mapa, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, said that 10,548,906 cards or 33.7 percent of this year’s target were distributed as of April 30.

“We are determined to continue to put forth initiatives that will accelerate PhilSys operations across all sectors,” he added. The agency said that it has also tapped field offices to assist in delivering PhilIDs to registrants located in remote areas nationwide.
