The City Council has approved on second reading the “Ordinance Creating the Persons With Disabilities Affairs Office of Davao City as a division under the City Social Welfare and Development Office .
“Para malahi para dili pud malibog ato nga kining PDAO is only a division under the CSWDO. Gihimo natong Persons With Disabilities Center/Persons with Disabiitues Office para naa identification na dili siya usa ka departamento but division under the CSWDO. Ug ang nakabutang man gud sa atoang Republic Act naa man gud tay salary grade sa gobyerno. Ang nakabutang na salary grade ibutang nimo sa syudad sa Davao tama lang siya sa division head,” he added.
Lawyer Rani Leonar, convenor of PDAO, said not only that it will address concerns and challenges that the PWDs are facing but it is also mandated by law.
