OPPOPad2 Listed In SIRIM Database; Local Launch Imminent

Last week, OPPO unveiled its newest tablet, the OPPO Pad 2, the follow-up to last year’s Pad that comes with some significant upgrades over its predecessor. While the brand has not officially announced a Malaysian launch yet, it will most likely debut locally.

This comes from the fact that tipster Kevin Ng TK has spotted the new tablet in the SIRIM database, receiving certification from the local regulator just yesterday. Listed with the model name OPD2202, the sighting means that the product is set to be introduced to the market here soon., which is due to launch next month, as well as the same design, albeit in a different colour. It sports an 11.

The OPPO Pad 2 is priced at CNY2,999 for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the top-tier version with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs CNY3,999 . Of course, the local pricing has not been revealed yet but with the SIRIM listing, we can expect an announcement from the company in the near future.
