10. Alfredsson was vilified in Toronto for looking as if he was going to throw his stick – which had broken – into the crowd,. Spezza said that was misinterpreted. “They are buddies. We were bitter rivals, but they played on the national team together and had a strong mutual respect for each other. I don't think it was meant as like a vicious jab. It was more of a playful jab. So I think it probably took on a life of its own that he probably didn't want.
