This is the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: the hardcore, track-focused version of Xiaomi’s all-electric sedan. And no, it’s not going up against the Samsung S22. It’s instead targeting the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT’s Nürburgring record for four-door electric vehicles.
Powered by a triumvirate of electric motors that amount to 1,527hp and more torque than Captain America after a few, the acceleration times are...impressive: 0-100kph in 1.97sec, while it’ll take an extra 4sec to get to 200kph. Wait another 9sec and you’ll see 300kph on the speedo before it plateaus at 350kph. Yep, impressive.
Xiaomi has confirmed the SU7 Ultra’s first attempt at the ’Ring will come in October when it’ll aim to better the Taycan’s 7min 5.5sec.
