I don’t know what happens, it’s like Filipino. And Alberto is like the Filipino father who’s like my dad. And he’s like, “Okay, okay.” If you want to say, it’s like, “Okay, I love you kiddo.”

And then there’s Lou Diamond Phillips, who’s iconic. He’s a trailblazer in the way that he opened doors for a lot of Filipinos to work in the industry as well. So, to work with him was an honor. It was incredible. Representation is wonderful to see and it’s moving forward. But in terms of my acting, it was just by chance I was in high school doing a play. Then I decided to defer university and I got accepted at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
