Onic Philippines completed its redemption against Nexplay Evos with a 2-1 victory in their second meeting in the MPL Philippines Season 9 on Sunday, March 20.
Losing via 2-0 sweep in the first round, Onic PH made sure to exact its revenge against NXPE as the M3 runner-up pulled off big plays in the decider to emerge victorious and climb up to the No. 4 spot in the standings with a 6-3 record with 15 points on the board.
That created the space for Onic to go for the Lord take in the next sequence but a late contest from NXPE players worked wonders as it took down four heroes on the side of Onic to neutralize the supposed Lord march. It was actually Onic PH which drew the series’ first blood after it endured a scintillating start from NXPE’s rising rookie Michael “MP the King” Endino’s Lancelot. A clash for the 12-minute Lord however allowed Onic to regain control of the match after Kairi on the Aulus scored a triple kill.
