One person has been killed and nine others were injured in a sudden shooting at an intersection in Nashville near Tennessee State University.
The gunfire occurred a short time after 5pm on Saturday, local time, according to police, with evidence pointing to two groups opening fire at each other from opposite sides of the street.
“This is a very difficult scenario for our city in that just a handful of people, a very small number of people, besmirched the celebration of activities for North Nashville and Tennessee State University,” Mr Aaron said.
