Coaches for the other teams include fellow Olympians such as sprinter Donovan Bailey, water-polo player Waneek Horn-Miller, cyclist and speed skater Clara Hughes, former captain of Canada’s Olympic bronze medal-winning rugby sevens team Jen Kish and former NFL player Luke Willson, who helped the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl in his 2014 rookie year.Article content
The series came at a pivotal time for Junio, whose life is at a bit of crossroadsad. In December, he announced his retirement from competition. The Calgarian won 12 World Cup medals and had been a member of the national team since 2010. He represented Canada at the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014, Pyeongchang in 2018 and Bejing in 2022. But he may be most famous for his sportsmanship in 2014.
