Ayon kay Rodela Romero, Director III ng Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau, ang pagtaya sa oil price rollback ay batay sa galaw sa presyohan sa world market sa nakalipas na apat na araw, at maaari pang magbago sa huling trading ngayong Biyernes.
Inaasahan na P1.20 hanggang P1.50 per liter ang mababawas sa presyo ng diesel; P1.20 hanggang P1.50 per liter sa kerosene; at P0.70 hanggang P0.90 per liter naman sa gasolina. “Oil prices remain under pressure this week despite OPEC+ agreed to extend their voluntary production cuts of 2.2 MMBD till end of this year. This decision comes in response to growing concerns over weakening demand growth, high interest rates and increased production from the US,” paliwanag ni Romero sa dahilan ng paggalaw ng mga produktong petrolyo.
Nitong nakaraang Martes, P0.90 per liter ang ibinaba sa presyo ng gasolina. Pero tumaas ang presyo ng diesel at kerosene ng P0.60 at P0.80 per liter, ayon sa pagkakasunod. Ngayon taon, nasa P6.65 per liter ang nadagdag sa presyo ng gasolina, P5.45 per liter sa diesel, at nagkaroon naman ng pagbaba sa presyo ng kerosene sa halagang P0.25 per liter. —FRJ, GMA Integrated News
