The duo presided over a huge third quarter for the Tropang Giga, combining for 25 of their 38 points that allowed them to pull away from the tight contest and take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Nambatac, on the other hand, had 11 of his 17 in the third quarter to go with his six rebounds and four assists.
Rain or Shine actually overcame the initial assault from TNT when the Tropang Giga uncorked eight answered points to open the second half and take the first double-digit spread of the game, 55-44.
