OCTA observes ‘moderate decrease' in Covid-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila

The seven-day positivity rate for COVID-19 in Metro Manila has “moderately decreased,” OCTA Research Fellow Dr. Guido David said on Thursday morning, June 1. ManilaBulletin READ:

In an update posted on Twitter, David said that the National Capital Region positivity rate decreased from May 23 as it was at 24.4 percent to 19.9 percent on May 30.

Meanwhile, the hospital bed occupancy for Covid-19 patients in Metro Manila has decreased slightly over the same period and remained at low occupancy. The World Health Organization considers a rate of less than 5 percent to indicate that the spread of the virus is under control.
