THE independent Octa Research sounded the alarm on Wednesday, December 29, over the recent rise in coronavirus disease cases in the National Capital Region , saying it may just be more than a"holiday uptick."
"There is now concern that this is not just a holiday uptick. Please be advised that the situation is changing in the NCR," said David. According to the World Health Organization , the ideal reproduction rate is less than one, as having greater than one means that the infection will spread exponentially."The daily positivity rate in the NCR spiked to more five percent for the first time since October 24," he said.David called on the public to be very mindful of observing the minimum public health standards.
