Defining the News
The Office Civil Defense announced on Monday it has delivered a water filtration truck and mobilized a rapid deployment team to serve evacuees from La Carlota City and La Castellana in Negros Occidental in the wake of Mount Kanlaon’s eruption last week.
The OCD sent its equipment and team to support these efforts. The water filtration equipment can produce 50,000 liters of water per day to serve the volcanic eruption victims. The OCD team will stay in the province for two weeks. “We are in constant coordination with the affected regions to augment the response efforts and provide their needs or requests,” the OCD official added.
