MANILA, Philippines — The surge of COVID-19 infections in Lubang, Occidental Mindoro is a result of active case finding, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said on Monday.
“They’re doing active case finding currently in Lubang kaya talagang biglang taas ang mga kaso ,” Vergeire said during the Department of Health media forum.“So, this is a result of the active case finding at maganda ‘yan dahil immediately ma-isolate nila ‘yung mga taong may sakit and then after 14 days, we hope that the number of cases in this area will continuously decline,” she added.
