CHICAGO, Illinois — Former United States president Barack Obama told fellow Democrats in Chicago on Tuesday that 'the torch has been passed' to Vice President Kamala Harris and that the US was ready for her to become president.The ex-leader, who was greeted with rapturous applause and cheers at the packed arena hosting the Democratic National Convention , said Harris would fight for Americans, and called his Republican successor and her poll rival Donald Trump 'dangerous.
