Dr. Michelle Schlosser, spokesperson of the Davao City Covid-19 Task Force, revealed that the number of senior citizens died due to Covid-19 is “significant.” “Significant nga kasagaran nato namatay ani karon mga senior citizens. Out of the 19 deaths we have 11 senior citizens. Significant kaayo ang number of deaths nato this week and from senior citizens, 60 years old and above. Ubay ubay pud ang namatay sa 50 to 59 years old. Pero dili pasabot na wala nay mamatay sa kabatan-onan,” she said over Davao City Disaster Radio on Friday.“Each and everyone of us kinahanglan na maging vigilant gihapon kay madala nato sa atong panimalay ang infection.

As of September 16, 2022 there were 90 cases recorded, which put Davao City around an 11 percent positivity rate.
