Gambito recently oversaw the delivery of financial assistance to deserving hog farmers who had been severely affected by the African Swine Fever outbreak.
During the distribution, Gambito asked hog raisers to closely adhere to biosecurity measures in their communities to protect the hog industry.“Let us work together to implement the biosecurity measures taught to us by agriculture officials in order to mitigate the catastrophic impacts of the ASF. Together, we will rebuild stronger and more resilient agricultural practices,” he said.
The provincial administration of Nueva Vizcaya has granted P8 million as compensation to hog farmers who have been severely affected by African Swine Fever . Each of the 158 hog raisers who lost their livelihoods as a result of the province’s ASF epidemic received indemnification aid ranging from P2,500 to P5,000.
