NTF, DPWH build Iligan City mega quarantine facility in 2 weeks

NTF chief implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. said the facility, which was constructed in just two weeks, has a 120-bed capacity. He said it will boost the health care capacity of Iligan City, which is under the modified enhanced community quarantine until September 30.

“Since there is a strong clamor to avoid quarantines at home, we need to put them in isolation facilities. We are still giving assistance to LGUs like Iligan City in case there are added locations where we can build an isolation center,” said DPWH Undersecretary Emil Sadain. Galvez said the national government will also provide them with high flow nasal cannulas and ventilators.
