The New South Wales government plans to reduce the state’s gas emissions by 70 per cent by 2035.
Five renewable energy zones will be built across the state to deliver cheaper and cleaner electricity to homes and businesses as coal-fired power stations are expected to close over the next 10 to 15 years.
The Illawarra is set to become a renewable energy and clean manufacturing powerhouse following the release of a draft declaration.
