NSC Assistant Director General Jonathan Malaya was quoted by Super Radyo dzBB as saying that "foreign maligned interference operations" have been increasing in the country.Malaya added that such activities include the hacking of websites and social media accounts of multiple government agencies, the dzBB report said.
China has dismissed the allegations as "groundless," saying that such remarks from were "highly irresponsible."Resolutions have been filed in the House of Representatives and the Senate seeking investigations into the incidents of hacking and data breach.To protect the sanctity of the voting process, Malaya called on the Commission on Elections to conduct early preparations for the upcoming polls.
