The National Security Council on Friday slammed the National Democratic Front of the Philippines over its accusations that the governments of the Philippines and Ukraine are “puppet regimes” of the United States.Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy briefly visited Manila to invite President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to a peace summit that will be held in Switzerland this month.
''NSC Assistant Director General Jonathan Malaya came in defense of Marcos, saying “the President was merely advancing our national interest in the face of illegal, coercive, aggressive, and deceptive actions in the West Philippine Sea .”“Under our constitution, the Philippines has renounced war as an instrument of national policy. War is not on the table. As expected, the NDF is engaged in war mongering and scare tactics,” said the NSC chief.
