A CARPENTER was killed by suspected NPA rebels in Barangay Mani-ak, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental on Tuesday, April 11. Based on the initial investigation, the victim was having breakfast when three unidentified armed persons arrived and shot him in the head and left arm.The gunmen were reportedly wearing caps and jackets. They fled towards the mountainous part of Barangay Calupaan.
Police Lt. Col. Kym Lopez, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental police, said that investigation is ongoing to check the background of the victim.
