The number of emergency department visitors who don’t have primary care also increased in the third quarter. The update shows the number at 24.9 per cent, up from 23.4 per cent in the second quarter."We have made big strides so far, but there is a lot more work to do," Health Minister Michelle Thompson said in the release.
In a new data tracking metric, the number of vacant positions decreased slightly in the third quarter, according to the update, from 16.4 per cent to 15 per cent. But that’s double the target vacancy rate of seven per cent. The quarterly data also took a dip when it comes to ambulance offloading at hospitals. The goal is to offload within 30 minutes 90 per cent of the time. But that percentage was 27.4 in the third quarter, down from 28.7 per cent in the previous quarter."daily dashboard" section
