The AFL has launched an investigation into the incident between Marlion Pickett and a supporter at Marvel Stadium during Friday night’s match between Richmond and the Western Bulldogs, describing the fan’s behaviour as “not acceptable”.

“While in normal circumstances we embrace player and fan interaction after a game, what happened at last night’s game is not acceptable and the AFL will work through it in the coming days,” the league said.Caretaker Richmond coach Andrew McQualter said on Friday night it was a “disappointing” incident.
