After calling on the public to show their support for the frontliners fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles posted his own TikTok video to honor those putting their lives at risk to save others.
Nograles on Saturday posted a 45-second TikTok video of him dancing to a sped-up version of Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” dedicated to the country’s frontliners.
The tweet, which got 3,547 views, 160 likes, and 29 retweets as of press time, however, was not received well. Nograles, in response, assured the public that the government’s work, despite it being Black Saturday, hasn’t stopped. Last week, Nograles urged the public to honor the health workers and frontliners risking their lives to address the COVID-19 pandemic. He asked the public to applaud the country’s modern heroes from their doorways or windows every 5 p.m. beginning April 9.
