A woman belonging to the Indigenous Person group has her biometrics taken during the first day of the Commission on Elections 11 satellite registration for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections at the cinema area of SM Lanang Premier in Davao City on Tuesday. Lawyer Gay Enumerables, assistant director of the Commission on Election-Davao , reminded Dabawenyos of the deadline of registration for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on January 31, 2023. Enumerables also said that they have not yet received a memo from the Comelec central office extending the registration.
“We heard nga naay mga gusto mag extend but as of now January 31 ang among deadline,” she said over Davao City Disaster Radio on Tuesday.She also said Davao City’s Third District has the highest number of registrants.She urged those 15 years old to 18 years old to go to the satellite offices and register. Comelec-Davao has opened special satellite registration at selected schools and the malls.
“Gi -remind nako ang uban na pag register namo dili na magparehistro ug utro like kung nagparehistro sa SK for 18 years old dili namo magoarehustro ug utro because ma-extract na namo ang 28 years old so regular voters na sila. exact 30 years old and below on the day of the elections ang makaboto for SK,” she said.
