Despite conquering longer trails and enduring lengthy miles, Macarenas shared that there is no room for complacency most especially he is competing against the top runners of Southeast Asia. 'There is no such thing as home court advantage.
In the trail run itself that is when we know, so they should watch out for us. All of us really poured our all during our training,' Macarenas said with confidence. With the petition of including trail running in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics, Macarenas said that he is looking forward to what will happen in the next eight years. 'That is a big thing for me. I have been in the trail running community for so long already. There is a continuous growth of trail running in the Philippines.
