JOHOR BARU: Services in all health facilities statewide are operating as usual with no sign of the planned contract doctors’ strike, says Johor health and unity committee chairman Ling Tian Soon.
He said there are 1,880 contract medical officers with Grade UD41 and UD43 in 24 health facilities in Johor.
"Checks on the government facilities on Monday showed that services are running as usual in all government clinics and hospitals while elective procedures that have been scheduled also went on smoothly. Ling said that checks also found that there were no public demonstrations or small scale marches in any of the government facilities.
He also urged contract doctors not to participate in the three-day planned strike and to continue giving the best of service to patients."I am thankful to all contract doctors for not taking part in the plan to have a three-day strike.
