Two children were on the bus at the time of the collision, but no injuries were reported
Nobody was injured in a slow-speed collision Friday between a GFL waste removal truck and a school bus that Sault Ste. Marie Police Service says was a result of poor road conditions.
The collision occurred on a hill on Shatruck Drive, near Sunnyside Road past the airport toward Gros Cap.“The bus tried to make it up Shatruck hill but with the conditions wasn’t able to make it," said Burrows. "The garbage truck going the same direction also tried going up the hill and couldn’t and slid backwards into the bus."Algoma District School Board and Huron Superior District Catholic School Board have not yet responded to question about the incident.
“Slow speed, dicey road conditions and very minor contact, minor damage and no injuries," Burrows said of the incident.
