No one was injured after an apparent electrical fire broke out in a 16 storey high rise on Sunday afternoon in Toronto's west end, according to Toronto Fire Services.

Jessop said the exact cause of the fire will be investigated but it seemed to have been an electrical fire. Around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Toronto police initially said there were reports of an explosion in the electrical room in a post on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. Jessop said confirmation that an explosion took place wouldn't come until an investigation is conducted.
