In a news release, Aviation Forest Fire and Emergency Services said there are currently 33 active fires in the Northeast Region. Of those, four are under control and 29 fires are being observed.There are currently 33 active wildland fires in the Northeast Region. Of these, 4 are under control and 29 are being observed.
The wildland fire hazard values are low to moderate across the Northeast Region with the exception of a pocket of high fire hazard value stretching from Kapuskasing north to the Agwasuk River.
