Given the sheer gravity of the situation and considering the risk at stake, a lot of people may find it inappropriate to observe the annual April Fools’ Day.In an internal email obtained by the Business Insider, published by Mashable South Asia on Monday, Google’s head of marketing Lorrainr Twohill wrote: “This year, we’re going to take the year off from that tradition out of respect for all those fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Twohill also explained that under normal circumstances, they would still observe the said tradition since this has made them an unconventional company.
