MBPJ said it was an unintentional hit.

The Petaling Jaya City Council has confirmed that no action will be taken against its officer who allegedly roughed up a senior citizen, Patrick Khoo, during an operation to catch stray dogs.

After conducting an internal investigation, MBPJ said it will improve its procedures in high-risk operations to capture strays. Last month, Khoo was allegedly hit by an MBPJ officer when he tried to shield a stray dog from being taken. He claimed trial to the charge. If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to two years or a maximum fine of RM10,000, or both.READ MORE: Uncle Who Tried To Protect Dogs In MBPJ Case To Be Charged Friday
